Our history
Five generations. One family.
Though the industry has changed dramatically over the past 100-plus years, McBane Insurance has changed with it — while staying true to James McBane’s mission: the best coverage for the most affordable price, built on honesty, integrity, and relationships.
- 1900James McBane founds the agency in Bergholz, Ohio.
- 1935His son Ralph takes over and runs the agency until 1983.
- 1962Ralph’s son Jim joins and leads agency operations.
- 1994David McBane joins, the fourth generation.
- 2014Dan McBane joins the management team.
- 2024Alec McBane begins his career — the fifth generation.
